Volunteering brings amazing experiences and all the time you are helping to protect sea turtles.
Sea Turtle Foundation runs volunteer activities in the field (or on the beach!) throughout the year. Our volunteers help protect sea turtles while gaining valuable career experience. Those that put in the extra effort build networks in the conservation field as well as gain useful referees.
You don’t have to patrol beaches at midnight to help! We would love to hear from you if you can help us with organisation and administration in our Townsville office.
Here are some ways you can help by volunteering:
NEW (Jan 10) Treasurer
We are looking for a Treasurer with experience with an unlisted public company and of the Corporations Act 2001. Ideally you live in the Townsville, Australia region.
NEW (Jan 10) Office Coordinator
Do you have skills and experience with running an office and taking care of general administration and are available for a few hours a couple of times a week? We would love to hear from you if you would like to be our Office Coordinator.
NEW (Jan 10) Social Media Controller
If you understand the mysteries of Facebook and Twitter and would like to help us unravel our sites then please get in touch!!
AIMS beach
Every year in November our volunteers help us monitor nesting sea turtles on AIMS beach south of Townsville.
Clean Ups
Marine debris kills 1000s of sea turtles every year. Join us for Clean Up Australia Day in March and International Clean Up the World Weekend in September.

Fund Raise
Sponsored swims, sausage sizzles, garage sales, school events – there are many ways you can help us raise funds to continue protecting and conserving sea turtles. Contact us to discuss your idea and for support materials.
Contact us to get involved or if you have an idea of your own you would like to try.
